Community Service

YouthFORCE participants will have the opportunity to earn community service hours required for graduation and personal development.

Youth Development Workshops

Each month, we will host a workshop for teens for professional development. These programs will range from SAT Prep to Project Management Institute certification.

Weekly Meetings

Montgomery County YouthFORCE meets every Thursday from 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM. An incentive will be provided to registered teens who actively attend our meetings.

Engaging Youth in the Community

Montgomery County YouthFORCE is a new initiative led by Montgomery County OIC for teens ages 13 – 18. Based on the model of our former program, Norristown Youth Development Coalition, we will identify issues impacting our youth and empower our participants to make a difference in their community. We will host weekly workshops ranging from college and workforce readiness, financial literacy, health and wellness, networking, and recreation.

Readiness After Graduation

Our program aims to ensure our youth are ready for college and/or the workforce. Each youth will receive an individualized professional development path to follow. Our staff will assist with preparing their resume, matching the participant with community service, and identify key internships and jobs similar to their interest. In addition, we will prepare all participants for college readiness with SAT Prep, FAFSA, and college tours. Eligible participants will also receive assistance to attend our HBCU College Tour during Spring Break.

Montgomery County YouthFORCE Roundtable Discussion

Thank you for supporting Norristown YouthFORCE’s Roundtable Discussion on November 8th. We had a great discussion on what our community needs to become a better place to live, work, and play. There are a few things that came from our discussion that we already implemented for our youth!

We are now on Facebook!

Today’s youth get their news and updates from Social Media. From the conversation, it was shared that youth want consistent communication on social media and non-traditional communication such as text/calls. We created a Facebook for this program. Invite your friends and family to like our page to help spread the word!
