National Retail Federation

This 40-hour training covers customer service and hospitality. NRF training is great for those who have unemployed or underemployed. OIC is connecting participants directly to on-the-job training sites within the Montgomery County Area. Training sites are relative to hospitality and participate in competitive pay. Upon successful completion, participants receive a nationally recognized certification and receive 3 credits toward the Hospitality Program at Montgomery County Community College.

Forklift Training

The Forklift Training is a 2-day training program. Participants learn about salaries of forklift operators, prospective employment, and the safety of forklift operating. Training includes hands-on usage of walking and driving forklifts. No experience needed.

Project Management Program

The Project Management court from Project Management Institute offers 8 hours of extensive training. Project Management is for any person who is interested in leadership, organization skills, and entrepreneurship. Upon successful completion, a person will receive 1 credit hour at Montgomery County Community College. No experience is needed.

Workforce Readiness Program

The Workforce Readiness Program is a weeklong boot camp for a person who is planning to enter or re-enter the work field. It is also the training program that ALL participants must take part in when participating in any of the training programs listed above. A cohort of participants research the labor market, learn about local opportunities, create or enhance his/her resume, practice speaking, and interview skills! This program is for all ages no matter what level of work experience.

Certified Nurse’s Aid Program

Montgomery County OIC is working to have a full-time C.N.A. program. We currently are partnering with Chester County OIC to have Montgomery County residents join CCOIC’s program! The C.N.A. program is 13 weeks of classroom instruction and training. Participants must travel to West Chester, PA daily. Montgomery County OIC plant to have a local program Fall 2018.
